Welcome to my corner of the horse world! With a lifelong passion for horses and a deep-rooted connection to ranch life, I am honored to share my journey with you.
I hail from Condon, Montana, where I grew up on a small hobby ranch as a third-generation horse enthusiast. My earliest memories involve being surrounded by horses, thanks to my grandmother's love for these majestic creatures. She instilled in me a respect and fascination for horses that has only deepened over the years.
From a young age, I immersed myself in the world of horsemanship. I vividly recall moments like scratching the belly of an unhandled colt at the tender age of two—a testament to my early bond with horses. Despite encountering numerous challenges, from being thrown off to handling unbroken horses, my passion for training never wavered.
At just 15, I embarked on my journey as a horse trainer, inspired by Clinton Anderson's methods and fueled by a love for both competitive and recreational riding. I ventured beyond Montana to expand my knowledge, undertaking internships with renowned trainers across the country. These experiences not only honed my skills but also introduced me to disciplines like team penning and sorting, enriching my horsemanship journey.
My career led me to diverse opportunities, including a stint with a reined cow horse trainer and a transformative experience with Dan James of Double Dan Horsemanship. These roles shaped my approach to training and solidified my passion for teaching. Teaching became a calling after a transformative clinic with Michael Gascon, prompting me to share my knowledge with others.
Over two decades, I've absorbed invaluable lessons from top horsemen nationwide and explored various disciplines, from reining to trick riding. Each experience has reinforced my belief that effective leadership in horsemanship stems from calmness, confidence, and expertise. Together, we embark on a journey where learning never ceases—I am committed to continually enhancing my skills to better guide you and your horse.
